Nice spot JMK. Can't believe I didn't see that !! Are these the current regs Eezy ? Would make a court case interesting surely if someone gets pulled for say, having 3Kg of Bacci and their own regs state that it is within the MIL's

Wonder if they actually have anyone checking that their online sources are up to date ?

Question: Has anyone tried Springfield Blue or their purple Volume tobacco?

I've tried the Springfield blue Rolling Tobacco TBD and tbh, there's no discernible difference between it and Turner (my normal smoke). If it wasn't for the fact that I hadn't let our lass try some from last years trip, I would've bought it instead of Turner this year.

Over a quid a pouch cheaper than Turner so would've saved me another £260 or so on 12Kg.

I know what I'll be buying next year lets put it that way

Dunno about the tub-type bacci as I hand-roll and pouches work better for me. You might have to search for it TBD but IIRC someone on here did a comparison report a while back between the well-known brands and Real's alternatives and they all seemed to come out pretty good.

Dunno if there's really any way to stop 'em Eezy. I get 'em coming into my Hotmail Inbox in fits and starts. Sometimes I will go a month with hardly any, then for the next couple o' weeks I can get 50 a day. Dunno if there's any logical pattern to 'em but they seem to be pharmacy shit, then sex dates, then Nigerian Royalty asking me to launder cash for them !!

Then it repeats. Not too much of a problem as I've got my inbox set to exclusive. The only time I have to concentrate on what to delete is when I've made an order with a new company and I have to watch for any confirmation emails amongst the spammers dross.

I think you must end up deleting most of the forum stuff mate as I'm only doing about a couple a week at worst. I must admit that pharmacy.xyz one did make me chuckle tho'

Thought it was gonna be a nightmare seeing as boarding didn't start until 25 to 5, over half an hour late ! Must've took me 'n' TurbulentUpstart nearly 30 mins to get aboard the ship 'n' all. Once onboard there didn't to be any actual reason for the delay so god knows what was going on.

First time I've been on POB since the refit but it did all seem a lot nicer than last year. The shop now goes across the full width of the ship which is weird when you're not used to it although it does make it a bit easier to check the alcohol/bacci out I suppose rather than the little gangway that used to be.

I'm not fussy with my food so the breakfasts and dinners seemed to be fine for me but Warrior did mention that it didn't seem to be as fresh as when they were last on the boat. Prebooking with the ticket costs £26 each-way for both meals but seeing as Turbulent didn't want any meals going out, I couldn't do the one person only for meals so I had to book them onboard which cost £29 so another three quid for anyone that's interested.

Once at Zeebrugge, Belgian customs took longer than usual as well but I suppose that is to be expected after the recent terroist activities. Warrior gave Turbulent 'n' me a lift to Adinkerke before heading off for his booze (apologies again for making you wait matey, will try better next time - lol)

When we got there I couldn't believe how quiet it was, like a bloody ghost-town. So much that we were stood outside one of the Bacci shops rolling a couple of fags and the owner came out trying to persuade us to go in there to buy !! Never known that before as there are usually people milling around all the time. God knows what'll happen to them once Brexit hits fully.

I asked the guy in Real if most of their trade was now with the French and he insisted that it was still mainly us Brits that they cater for so unless not many do the weekend trips, mebbe it was just an unusually quiet one-off ?

Got 12kg of Turner, 1000 JPS Blue and three boxes of

Well tbh Eezy, I'm surprised it's took so long for them to declare it. I think most of us knew that one of the first things to go would be the customs union. Lots more money for the exchequer from tobacco taxes. Wonder how long it'll be before the subsequent rise of white van man again with his huge stocks of bacci ?

If anyone thinks that it won't happen, I knew of a bloke in Hull a lot of years ago that used to go across regularly and factored-in that he would be stopped on average two out of every five trips and still made a killing !!! He used to go through tatty vans at a rate of knots that kept getting seized.

I can't really see that the detection rate has got any better, maybe it has but we will see.

I think it will be enough of an obstacle to make me think about stopping for good. Samson is now just over £23 for 50g in the UK so that would be over £50 a week plus papers and filters

Nice one !! I know it ain't a "get out of jail free" card but it shows just how important the SOT really is. What with that, a consumption sheet and a trip log showing dates and any chats/interviews where the end result is that you have been allowed to carry on with your goods it would be pretty foolish I reckon for any BF to seize.

Well done

Yeah just realised NoMo that I think my adblocker creates a problem. I am registered, have been for ages but everytime I go to the site from my weekly email update, there's always a few local stations that are greyed out with a question mark against them. Funny thing is, since I moved house, the station near me that is ALWAYS the cheapest by a few pence/litre is never mentioned - lol.

Looks like the station must have to sign up to be on the site list otherwise they don't add it.

Still a bloody useful site though.

I always try to restrain from commenting on the migrant situation for fear of being branded barbaric or thoughtless but I feel I have to add summat here.......

<vent ON>They use the excuse that they fear for their life in their own countries so want to come to Europe/UK then when they are out of danger and get put in holding camps they complain about the conditions.......WTF ???

NOBODY IS GOING TO TRY AND SHOOT OR RAPE YOU NOW SO STOP ACTING LIKE FKN SAVAGES AND MAYBE PEOPLE WILL ACTUALLY CARE AND TRY TO HELP YOU.

Seems to me that's how they're all programmed to behave so send 'em back.<vent OFF>

I won't comment again.

I notice that the fuel seems to be set at an exchange rate of 1.10 now too.  Honestly I can buy cheaper here now than buying my fuel in cash over there.  ( petrolprices.com )  and less weight driving back with all my booze too if I fill at home rather than if I fill up over there.

I use that site too. Well useful although I see now that to find the stations you have to "upgrade" up for a yearly plan. I still get my regular email though so seeing as the stations very rarely seem to change who is at the best price, it's not difficult to know which one to go to.

@Eezy, just got confirmation of my card arriving shortly in the post so if the exchange rate doesn't suddenly go nuts (doubtful) i will be using that on my next trip with Warrior & Turbulent.
