Voted a couple of weeks ago by post.
Like many others Brexit has already cost us hundreds of pounds due to drop in pound.
Unfortunately no party will be able to reverse that.

The local and general elections will be first time that we'll have used our postal votes.

Decided to apply last annual registration - would you believe that we had to put stamps on envelopes that were returned to Central Beds.

As we know simply saying that some cigs are for resale means they will all be lost and there's no point in appealing.

No indication of where flight was from and what else was involved.

0844 numbers are always at higher rate, Eezy

Dialing from landline my 10m.45s call was £1,81 - mine was longer as I added insurance.

Same applies when I've use Tesco vouchers.

Went through Chunnel on Wednesday using £23 offer
Arrived early on way out but had long wait until actual booked time. Caught earlier crossing on way back.
As has been previously stated traffic to France being diverted off autoroute and back on via roundabout - no delays as used canal road,
Back street Real giving £1 per carton off cigs as exchange rate marginally improved
Construction work at Coquelles after UK border post.
After over 51 years this may be last ever time we take car to France - feeling my age at 81

When booking we were advised not to arrive late as lose crossing.

I too was apprehensive the first time we took car to France - 51 years later it's a little easier.

@dateripper Forget about breathalisers as requirement was dropped ages ago - I still have two in glove box that are well out of date.

I've not smoked since Feb 1988 but SWMBO still does so we stock her up every six months in Adinkerke.

The couple of times we've been questioned at Coquelles I've had no reason to say that I'm a non smoker - just said where we've been and how much we have purchased and that it's for personal use only.

SWMBO mainly smokes tailor mades which is why we need to spend a lot more to be viable.

For recent trips we've used Travelodge as a little cheaper than Premier Inn. As you say, it gives a full day shopping in France.

Glad trip went well

It was much more chaotic last December when A16 closed at same turning in France.

To be viable we needed to spend about £1,200 in Adinkerke when we went there in mid July.
I can't do, at 81, the 320 mile round trip in a day so we stay at hotel in Ashford for one or two nights.
Won't be going again until early December and we obviously don't travel at night.

When we came back on 13th July there were massive delays between M20 and Dartford Tunnel, due to roadworks, and these seem to be continuing.

I decided to go opposite way round M25 but still hit delays from M3 to M40.

When we used Etap, later Ibis Budget, we used to go through centre of Grande Synthe to get to Auchan for some shopping.

As I need lift access we no longer use it but it was a convenient hotel

Enjoy your trip
