Court Orders Car NOT to be Forfeit

Advice required please from more learned members of the forum re the law

Dover Mags upheld the seizure of tobacco but ordered the car that was sezied NOT to be forfeit and to be returned to the appellant

UKBA are refusing to return the vehicle until the appellant pays the costs ordered by the court, however he is of the opinion that the two orders are unrelated and that they are illegally witholding his property, he used the vehicle in question as a long distance chauffeur for airport runs etc and currently cannot carry out his work ...advice on how to proceed pls

In all honesty-employ a solicitor.

My opinion is I'm inclined to agree with your mate but this is an issue that requires a legally trained person. I doubt that any member has experienced this situation and without that experience or legal training we're just passing opinions.

Its an old case Shopper as the dispute over paying costs/releasing the vehicle has been going on for some time, however the original case no was 460800594877
