Need advice with regards to delayed interviews.

Have not been stopped yet, but because I travel via the tunnel I think it would be best to ask for a delayed interview.
Is there any rules on who can and who can not have a delayed interview?  Do you just ask for it?

Thanks all for your help in advance.

Re: Need advice with regards to delayed interviews.

you would need a good reason for them to delay an interveiw, HULL ukbf are ok with a delayed interveiw from my own experience, but i once asked for a delayed interveiw at manchester airport and they blatantly refused ,arrogant bastards at manchester, also confiscated my phone and refused me permission to record stating.'they dont allow such things at manchester' i only had a old dictaphone type recorder then, and when the customs saw it they would'nt even comment when i asked a question, then insisted i turn everything off including my phone ,this was long before we had the foi stating we were allowed,so i had nothing to show otherwise.

Re: Need advice with regards to delayed interviews.

Excise and Civil Interviews

Delaying the Excise Interview
If an interview cannot follow on from initial questioning, the officer MUST ensure the person being questioned
 chooses to leave
(perhaps because they are travelling on a coach that would depart without them); 
is unfit to interview (e.g. under the influence of alcohol or drugs); 
has special needs that cannot be met; 
requires a responsible person to attend with them.

In these or similar circumstances, the interview may be delayed to a future date. The delay should be minimal and the officer must seek to conduct the interview as soon as possible.
