2017/18 tobacco duty rates

From 20 May 2017 two price bands are listed for cigarettes. An amount equal to the higher of the following alternatives

Either £207.99 per 1,000 cigarettes plus 16.5% of retail price

Or £268.63 per 1,000 cigarettes 

Hand rolling tobacco    Additional 42 pence to a packet (30g) of hand rolling tobacco     £209.77/kg

Update Nov 2017 budget increase.

HRT £221.18 per kg

Cigarettes  Minimum  £280. 15 per 1000
