Sterling on a high!

The pound is riding high at just under €1.16 to the pound (interbank rates). I reckon that's as high as it's been since the refendum vote. Whether it lasts depends on next month's predicted interest rate rise.

But again it brings into play Credit cards. If you have a foreign transaction fee-free card you can save around £2 per kilo on local brand tobacco. It does not work with English branded goods though. I've not looked at Pidou's prices but they are still only offering €1.12 to the pound so savings to be had.

Worth checking the prices before you spend your hard-earned.
