Re: Hull Crown Court

Tony,
Have alook here. I know it ASH website but surprisingly it contains some very useful info that should backup your issue re receipts but you'll have to search for it. It's about anti-smuggling agreements with the tobacco companies. When you open the link scroll down and you'll find the headings.

Thanks for that, eezyrider, Ive got the whole of Customs & Excise Notice 477 printed off, Section 3 of that notice is what I will refer to in court, its possible that the barrister or judge will not be familiar with it, but you can bet your life that UKBA are!

I am all set now for Thursday morning at Hull Crown Court, I have been over and over my papers and evidence and all placed in order of play, I am hoping that their bunch of lies don`t get past this court!

Re: Hull Crown Court

We're all with you in spirit Tony. This time, their lies have to make it past a jury as opposed to some doddery old fart who thinks that a uniformed member of her majesty's finest is a paragon of virtue and could not possibly lie under oath.

Cheers deano, I might get a judge that believes in fair play, not one that decides against you before he has heard the facts!

Re: Hull Crown Court

Go fuck them well and do it good. Keep calm and polite and just make sure you ask questions rather than make statements. And I always find in court the bastards use the 'Isn't it true that......'. You are fucked for an answer in one word. If you say yes (meaning it isn't true) they will construe that as you saying it is true. If you say no they will construe that as you saying 'yes it is true'. The correct answer to avoid doubt is 'That would not be true' or 'That would be true'. Sneakey bastards. But hey, just keep it together and think about answers and questions carefully. The very best of luck and hopefully we'll all be having a nice drink to celebrate tomorrow.

Re: Hull Crown Court

Just remember Tony that you have to address ALL their reasons for seizure.

Re: Hull Crown Court

So what happened?

They lie on recordings; they lie on oath; their shysters lie on their behalf. Don't believe a word coming from the mouths (2 per person) of any UKBA officer.
