Re: Crazy Seizure at DOVER - Had to leave goods as Passenger taken ill !

We were watching that one with interest and a certain amount of hope. Unfortunately it amounted to nothing.

As soon as the case was over HMRC changed the wording on CEMA so that they could continue doing legally what they had previously been doing anyway.

Re: Crazy Seizure at DOVER - Had to leave goods as Passenger taken ill !

Border Force continue to take the "piss".

I sent my "acceptance letter" back to Border Farce a week ago. In that letter they asked me to fill-in my bank details so that the "ex-gratia" payment could be paid into my account. Good I thought, once they get my letter it should be paid into my accout in betweem 1 - 3 Days .............. " WRONG! "

Here is the final paragraph of their letter which arrived today:

"I have instructed our finance department to credit your nominated bank account in full and final settlement in this matter. Please be aware that this process can take up to 30 days."

Why "30 DAYS", we all know that today bank transfers are "instant" or take 1 to 2 days maximum.

Got the money paid into my bank account within 10 days of returning the acceptance letter.

Sorry about not yet going Part 2 of the appeal hearing. Many other things to do but I WILL post it soon.
