Complaints to the European Commission?

Regarding Eezyrider's post containing thislink above. and the flagrant breaches of EU directiive 2008/118/EC that many of us have direct experience of. For example:

Unlawful stops/searches
Biased interviews
Reasons for seizure not explained etc

Misuse of guidlelines
Routine destruction of goods and inadequate compensation.
Duty demands/penalties
Cert 144's issued routinely and without explanation or opportunity of challenge
Coffee machine responses to restoration requestsExorbitant cost of challenging seizures
Near impossibility of obtaining legal representation in condemnation proceedings
No say in venue of said proceedings
etc etc etc

As far as the humble EU citizen is concerned, the  remedy for such breaches lies in a complaint to the European Commission  (see here) or by petition to the European Parliament (see here).

I'm far from confident that European coffee is any different from the native brand, or that even the EU commission have balls enough to challenge the might of HMRC/UKBF However, if enough people are prepared to complain, it's just possible that someone, somewhere might take some notice.

Re: Complaints to the European Commission?

Well, European coffee in general is *definitely* better than English coffee  -- at least, where the actual drink is concerned - Unless of course we are talking about French coffee, which is almost just as bad

As for coffee machine reply accuracy, I could not possibly say, however...
