SAR

Hi
Has anybody ever had a sar request returned?  I applied for 1 2weeks ago and this morning got it back saying they were unable to process this request.  I filled it all in and sent copy of passport with a current bill. There is a box ticked saying The certified declaration evidence provided does not meet our verification criteria.  (see important guidance)  On the back page important guidance basically people over 12 must include a copy of photo identification which must be certified by a solicitor, office of immigration service commissioner firm or a reg charity confirming they cerifiy true likeness etc.  Is this true?

Thanks

Re: SAR

Yes unfortunately. All sar's are now being returned if they do not have a valid photo. I have challenged this with the office of the ICO but although they agreed it was not in the spirit of things they cannot overrule BF/HMRC.

I am coming to the conclusion these days that SAR's are of limited value in preparing a case.
