Tram details for Oostende and Adinkerke. Coach transfers Brugge

Brugge is easy to get to with PO Ferries. They have transfer coaches that take you to Brugge and then pick you up to bring you back. The cost is £13.50 return and it is adviseable to pre book.

Oostende is also easy to get to but you have to make your own way. You can catch a taxi for approx €5 to the tramstop Zeebrugge Strandwijk and from there you take the tram (Kusttram) to Oostende. On the way back, get off and call in at Star Wars Cafe as this is a well known watering hole for shoppers. From there you can get a taxi back to the ship as the taxi firm is next door. Cost of the tram is €7 return.

The trams are very good and clean. Travel time to Oostende is 45 mins. Go on the tram routeplanner for times of trams. Frequency of trams is every 15 mins.

When cross-border shopping, take your Statement of Truth etc and ALWAYS record the Border Force interviews and NEVER EVER sign their notebook ... Period!

If you have time whilst in Oostende have a breakfast here:

Flanagans Irish Pub
Address: Langestraat 102, 8400 Oostende, Belgium
Phone:+32 59 27 93 83
Transit: Oostende Capucijnenkerk

Not far form the tobacco shops, I had breakfast here every saturday morning for a few months last year whilst I was working in De Haan, Always used the kusttram as well. Its a good service.

Cheers

If you really have some time spare you should check out the Russian submarine in Blankenberg, this is also on the tram route.

Its a good side visit but you must be reasonably fit to clamber around the sub.

Cheers

(sorry!! no more site seeing hijacks)
