It is with great sadness the admin team of N2D announces the passing of our co-founder and mentor Smoking Hot on 23rd December 2020.
He passed away peacefully after a short illness at home with his family and close friends watching over.
Those of us who had been privileged to meet him in real life will vouch for the energy and courage he displayed when fighting the injustices meted out by HM Customs. He was an inspiration to all of us who continued the fight for justice.
SH was always up for a party and lived life to the fullest. In fact he lived up to his own saying of ''better to burn out than fade away''.
Sincerest condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.

Only found out about this today myself Eezy. When I still lived in Hull I used to bump into SH regularly as one of his daughters lived down my street. He really was one of lifes "good guys". Always willing to help out those who needed it and was a pleasure to be in the company of.
He will be sadly missed by all that knew him, of that I have no doubt.
Gills and my thoughts are with all of his family.
RIP SH
Shaky

Sad news indeed. I will never forget the help he gave me after the outrageous and arbitrary seizure of my baccy in February 2013. With his indomitable courage and his tireless campaign for justice, SH was my inspiration in fighting the case. He also helped me prepare my bundle for the hearing in the Mags court and acted as a "McKenzie friend" on the day of the hearing itself.
It was characteristic of SH to do all this without any thought of personal reward - the noble cause of justice was his guiding light.
RIP mate, and thanks for the memories.
